Most of you will know by now that there’s a new iOS 7.1.1 jailbreaking tool called PanGu. And already performed a jailbreak on your own iOS device by using the PanGu tool: if you haven’t, then use our guide for iOS 7.1 – iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak with PanGu. If you’re experiencing problems after jailbreaking then here is some guidance on how to fix (if possible) iOS 7.1.1 jailbreaking issues with PanGu.
If you’re a beginner, PanGu is a free tool for jailbreaking – it has been released by a Chinese team of hackers, the same ones who were jailbreaking iOS devices running on iOS 7.1 to iOS 7.1.1. At the moment, if you’re using iOS 7.1.1 and wish to jailbreak your device, then the only choice you have is PanGu. PanGu will definitely jailbreak your device. This jailbreaking tool installs a Chinese App Store where you can download different pirated apps. Is only available for Windows users at the moment. The Mac version of the PanGu tool is currently under development.
In the following I will discuss some of them and provide simple fixes that you can apply.
Boot loop on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s
Unfortunately, PanGu developers claim that the first version of their jailbreak tool doesn’t work correctly on most iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s terminals. A solution to this problem does not exist, recommending waiting the 1.1 version to be released in the near future.
Why the jailbreak process is freezing and not complete
For some devices, iPhone 5s in particular, there is the possibility that PanGu will just freeze during the jailbreak process. In this case you will have to start again the whole jailbreak procedure, every time, this is the only recommendation offered by its developers.
Why some icons have disappeared and others are displayed wrong?
During the jailbreak process, PanGu will install a package called PPSync and a pirated app store called 25pp. This PPSync is extremely unstable and generates a lot of problems with many native iOS applications, so avoiding installation can help.
To avoid installing PPSync – when you open PanGu to make jailbreak – must uncheck the only box checked. Also prevents the 25pp app store installation.
However, if you installed PPSync and want to get rid of, by installing Cydia package called Complete PPSync Remover you basically will completely uninstall these apps from your terminal.
Cydia tweaks not working with PanGu jailbreak
