For those of you who are eagerly awaiting the release of the iOS 13.3 jailbreak utility Checkra1n for Windows, the ear 2020 starts in force.
So, what we’re talking about today is a tweet from the VP of security research at Cellebrite, which is an Israeli company that manufactures data extraction, transfer and analysis devices for iOS and other mobile devices. He tweeted out the following quot:
“Roses are red Violets are blue soon checkra1n on Windows with signed driver, too”.
Now, as corny as that poem is, it is fantastic news for the jailbreak community; really this is the best thing I’ve seen in weeks. I for one I’m so pumped, I hope you guys are too a Windows release for Checkra1n is imminent.
The tweet is accompanied with this screenshot which is just a screen grab of the update driver software that Cellebrite has developed for a DFU device.
So this is how they’re actually going to deliver that Checkra1n exploit over DFU from Windows. And again, this is the Windows interface for installing new driver software for devices.
This was the huge hang-up for Checkra1n on Windows the development of drivers to successfully interface with iOS devices over DFU and again deploy that exploit.
This tweet was actually re-tweeted by security researcher @axiom ax, whom you may remember as the genius security researcher behind the Checkmate exploit itself which is what powers Checkra1n.
So guys, we could receive a release literally at any point.
